Locks Restaurant and Bar

Looking out at our surroundings, it is easy to see why we chose ‘THE LOCKS’ as the name for our Restaurant and Bar.

The Holiday Inn was built in 1995, but it wasn’t the first hotel on this site. The original hotel was finished in 1801 and was named the Canal Tavern Inn. With gardens, bathing huts and shooting buts, it was used by passengers on the steam packets from Liverpool to Chester.
So relax in our contemporary surroundings, choose some delicious items from our menu and watch the boats making their journey along our historic canal.

Our head chef has developed a menu for everyone that is available all day, every day. Featuring a range of home cooked classics, healthy options and comfort food, the menu gives diners flexibility and the choice that people expect.

Daily specials compliment this menu and we use as many local ingredients for our specials. We have also also linked up with Backford Belles https://backfordbelles.com to supply our ice cream. Their parlour is 5 minutes drive away from the hotel and worth a visit during your stay with us.

Indulge in sweet creations alongside a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and preserves.
